Farewell Manchester Hello Sooty

Up bright and early this morning, probably something to do with sleeping on an air bed! Actually is wasn't too bad.

We had brekky on the boat then just sat in the sun....yep another sunny and hot day having a chat with Pat and Martin our friends from Oz.

They left about 11.30am ... see you back in Oz sometime guys.

Elaine and Pat (who was our neighbour back in Oz, plus also worked with Elaine at Roche pharmaceuticals) ...

We left Manchester about noon after filling with water and dumping the waste.
Destination - Lymm.  As there were no locks or swing bridges today, Elaine lay on the roof relaxing whilst I steered the good ship ... she did take the doggies for a mile or so walk but it was too hot for them.

Passed these well cared for one owner boats ...

Very nice looking waterside pub at Sale

Linotype works Altrincham ...

Finally arriving at Lymm after a very pleasant cruise in the sunshine, yep sunshine, I just love saying that word sunshine!

Elaine stayed on board getting dinner sorted so I went down the village to find an ATM, what a lovely village.

How pretty is it especially in the sunshine...

Magic ...

Stocks in the centre of the village ...

Caxton moored on the far left.  Now for the really interesting fact.....the white house on the right is owned by Matthew Corbett, who spent 22 years with his hand up Sooty's bum.
