Last Night in Paddo - Friday 12th July

The fuel boat came back on Friday morning, so we exchanged the gas bottle for one with the correct neck.  We also filled up the diesel ... 90p, not bad for central London.

The roll up bridge was having its weekly test.

All curled up ...

Unfurling ...

Done ...

Brother Russ, niece Kimberley and boyfriend Chris came for a visit.

On the tube we went to all the favourite spots ...

Once again a superb hot day ... the dogs would have hated it - they stayed on board the boat, which keeps nice and cool even in this hot weather!

Who's the bloke on top of that column?

Brothers!  I'm the thin one!!

Sunglasses all round ...

We split at Trafalgar Square, with Russ and family heading back to the boat to walk the dogs, whilst Elaine and I headed off to Limehouse for the safety briefing re. the Thames trip on Sunday.

On the DLR train.  Wot no driver?!!

Meeting over ... we headed back to the boat, where we rendezvoused with the others.  We were joined by Russell's wife, Tracy, who had been on a course in London all day.

So, off to the pub we all went, Tracy looking very suntanned as they had just got back from a couple of weeks on a Greek Island.

We walked them back to the station where they posed by you know who ...

Kate Update ...
We walked the dogs past the hospital after we bade farewell to the family, had a nice chat with a South African News reporter ... still no sign of Kate!
