Javea

Last night's parking spot in Moraira ...

There was a big 'Moors and Christians' fiesta going on last night in Moraira - in fact it goes on till next Sunday.

There were street markets ...

Food stalls, bars, bands, fireworks, cannons going off, all very exciting stuff.
The singing and dancing went on till just after 03.00 am!

I squeezed in the blog between activities whilst having a beer at the beach bar ...

As we left this morning a huge classic car procession was rolling into town.  We caught a couple of the tail enders going past and they just happened to be a couple of my all time favourites - a Rover P5 being followed by a Citroen DS ...

It was a short drive to Javea, which is yet another lovely spot on the Costa Blanca ...

The usual prom ...

This area has been our favourite part of Spain so far ...

Some fantastic looking villas overlook the bay ...

Right next to the harbour is a concrete church, which was built in 1967 ...

Inside the roof looks like the underneath of a wooden boat hull ...

We then decided to find somewhere to moor for the night, we found a nice little site just outside the town, very quiet indeed ...

It also has a very nice pool which we spent a couple of hours relaxing by this arvo ...

Then it was time for the evening walk down to the beach with the doggies, which is only about a kilometre away from the site.

The boys made friends with some locals ...

Nice views across to Javea ...

It would have been rude not to have a drink at a beach bar ...

We passed this nice little house for sale on the way back to the site.  It was only one street back from the beach and it was on sale for 200,000 Euros which seems a good price considering the area. ...

Finally the sun sets over Montgo ...

It is such a lovely area so we will stay here for a couple of days.
